A crisis at the Sibthorp household as daughter Laurel becomes trapped. Her sister ignores her pleas for assistance and it's up to Mommy to come to the rescue.

New photos...

Boy does Laurel keep us busy. About 3 weeks ago Laurel learned to sit up, crawl and stand. All in one week. We had to childproof the house in a real hurry. Her current objects of interest are the remote control, power cords, the newspaper and the doggy.

Rowan ended her first quarter of school with a Halloween party. This year she dressed up as a cowgirl, with sheriffs badge and all.

Today's photo was actually taken a week ago. But we were quite devastated by the Bears' loss a week ago, we couldn't bring ourselves to post this photo.

I'm also posting a rare photo of myself and the girls. Normally, I'm behind the camera, but Anne Marie was kind enough to point out that I needed some photos of me and my girls, so here's the one I like the best. Notice Molly got in on the action too!

Not much new happening...

Not much new to report this week. We had a really nice visit last weekend from Bryan's dad and Anne Marie. And we ate way too many sweets.

The girls have had a great week as these photos attest. Laurel is really changing everyday. And Rowan continues to enjoy her new sister.

The weather is still warm, but fall is getting closer. The acorns from our oak trees have been especially prolific. The last two weeks we have been getting nearly constant "showers" from these trees.

That's all to report now. Bryan is cleaning up the kitchen quick before the football game starts, Colts vrs. the Patriots, I think. Yep, fall is near.

Still Hot in the Midwest....

The children are back to school, so that must mean hot weather for another couple of weeks. I shouldn't complain, it isn't raining. For now.

We're all doing well. Rowan is glad to be back in school with her friends. She has fallen back into her routine very quickly. And Laurel is growing and changing daily. She is such a busy baby.

This weeks photos: The first is from Rowan's first day of school, as a First Grader. The picture of Laurel I took this morning (Tues). She is getting better at looking at the camera and taking great photos.

New photos

Here are a couple of new photos of our growing girls. Rowan, who is starting school on Friday, lost her top 2 front teeth this summer. This photo shows the second one nearly out. And the the photo of Laurel is from this evening (Aug 20th). She still doesn't smile for the camera. But it will come in time.

One final attempt...

Now that I've figured out how to add the photos, here's a brief description.

This photo is shortly after Rowan lost her 2nd top front tooth this summer. And got a new little cropped hair-do.

The pictures on the previous post were taken about the same time. Bryan and his girls, and Laurel's first attempt to smile for the camera (she's not quite as practiced in front of the camera as Rowan is).

Its been ages...

I've been playing around with some new features, and evaluating what is quick and easy for me to get you all photos and updates of whats happening at our house. So please consider this a test of the photo features on our blog. What do you think?
